Does Transforma upload my files to a server?

Can I convert multiple files at once?
Yes. Transforma supports batch conversion — select multiple files and convert them all to your chosen format in one go. Each file is processed independently on your device.
How do I convert HEIC photos to JPG on iPhone?

What's the maximum file size Transforma can handle?
There's no artificial file size limit — Transforma can handle any file your iPhone's available memory allows. This is a major advantage over cloud-based converters that typically cap uploads at 100MB-1GB.
Does Transforma preserve photo metadata (EXIF)?
Yes. By default, Transforma preserves EXIF metadata (camera info, date, location) during image conversions. You can also choose to strip metadata if you want to remove location data before sharing.
Can I remove backgrounds from photos?
Yes. Transforma includes a background removal feature powered by Apple's Vision framework. It works entirely on-device and produces clean cutouts — no internet required.
What iPhone models are supported?
Transforma supports any iPhone running iOS 16 or later. This includes iPhone 8 and newer models. Some features like advanced video codecs may require newer hardware.
